A+ SCHOOLS COORDINATOR

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Valid Missouri teaching certificate

2. Teaching experience preferred

3. Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal & Assistant Superintendent

JOB GOAL: The A+ Schools Coordinator will lead the school-based A+ Schools Program and is responsible for developing, implementing and supporting the program objectives.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate implementation of the site-based A+ Schools Program objectives with the central
  • district office, community and business sector.
  • Develop and implement the Partnership Plan and serve as facilitator of the Partnership Advisory
  • Committee.
  • Establish and maintain procedures for evaluating the effectiveness of the A+ School Program.
  • Act as a liaison and A+ Schools promoter to schools, business and community agencies.
  • Disseminate A+ Schools Program information to students, parents, faculty and the community.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for identifying eligible student participants.
  • Develop and maintain written agreements for student financial incentives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the District’s school-to-career model.
  • Assist in implementing career planning activities into the school curriculum.
  • Coordinate the school-based mentoring/tutoring.
  • Assist in addressing the needs of students who are educationally at-risk.
  • Establish and maintain a system of record keeping which will efficiently enable the school to track
  • A+ Schools student requirements/competencies.
  • Assist in the professional development as identified by the school improvement plan.
  • Complies with good safety practices.
  • Complies with all district rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Principal and the Assistant Superintendent

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Teaching contract plus additional work days to be determined.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with

provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional

Personnel.
