How do I enroll a new student for the upcoming school year?
To be eligible to enroll in the Pleasant Hill R-III School District, a student must be living in a household within the boundaries of the district and living with a natural parent or court-appointed guardian.
As part of a continuing effort to oversee residency requirements, all families are now asked to provide proof of residency each year as part of the enrollment process. To make this process easier for families, we will be holding an enrollment, proof of residency event at the Pleasant Hill High School on August 2nd and August 3rd. The event will provide parents and students an opportunity to complete all back to school business at one time and in one place.
In an attempt to move through the process as quickly as possible, families are asked to come on a designated night according to their oldest child’s last name. If you are unable to come during your scheduled time, you may come on the other night.
Last name: A-K Tues., Aug. 2, 1-8pm
Last name: L-Z Wed., Aug. 3, 1-8pm
If you are unable to attend either of the nights provided, beginning Aug. 4, you will need to go to Central Office at 318 Cedar Street during business hours (8am - 12pm and 1-4pm) in order to prove residency. You will then need to visit the building your child will be attending next year in order to complete the enrollment / residency process.
Residency can be verified with the following:
- A current, original utility bill that is no more than 30 days old (Utility statements include gas, electric or water). Please make sure the statement includes your name with the correct physical address.
High School, Middle School and Intermediate School students can pick up schedules. Primary and Elementary School students can verify shot records and class placements. Building principals, counselors, secretaries, nurses, food service and bus company staff will be on hand to offer assistance and answer any questions.
School Offices will open Aug. 4, 7am to assist parents with any needs they may have for the upcoming year.
