TWIX Award

At Pleasant Hill Middle School, we have an individual staff award to recognize excellent examples of teaching.  Nominations come from fellow staff members, parents, students, and community members. The TWIX award recognizes individual adults who have demonstrated (Teaching With Inspiration & eXcellence)

Nominations come from fellow staff members, parents, students, and community members.  Recently staff members were nominated for the following:

This morning as I walked by the nurse's office, I heard Ms. Denny calmly talking to a sick student.  Her words and demeanor were comforting and kind toward a child who obviously didn't feel well.  I think we're lucky to have a nurse with compassion and with concern for the well-being of everyone, staff and students, in the building, so I'm nominating her for a TWIX Award. I know when I send an ill or injured student to her office, they are always going to get her best and that's really comforting to me.—Mrs. Gilman

What a way to TWIX!

OREO Award

I would like to award an OREO award to Mrs. Gilman's 7th hour class. I was looking at reports in the AR program seeing which individual students had read 1,000,000 words and began looking at class totals. Mrs.Gilman's 7th hour class has exceeded the school average of 4,915,114.5 words per class. Mrs. Gilman's 7th hour class has read 16,394,670 words so far this year! Congratulations and keep up the efforts to Read every Day!
