What an awesome job our second grade students did raising money for the American Heart Association through Jump Rope for Heart. The second graders have worked very hard the past few weeks preparing for the event by practicing jump roping skill using long and single jump ropes.
Jump Rope for Heart took place during Physical Education class and the students jump roped for the entire class period. The students who participated earned certificates along with a few goodies for their hard work. Our students raised an amazing $4,283.10. I am so proud of how determined the kids are in helping fight heart disease. The “thank you” gifts from Jump Rope for Heart will be arriving sometime in February.
Congratulations to Curtiss Schaller, who raised $300, the most money during Jump Rope for Heart this year. Way to go Curtiss, thank you for all of your hard work.
